Episodes 9 & 10 Review
Positives
The overall story of our favorite rom-com Dreaming Of A Freaking Fairytale has been a delight to watch. The kdrama consistently delivered episodes with a good balance of humor and sensitivity, and the same is true for the final episodes.
In episodes 9 and 10 of Dreaming Of A Freaking Fairytale, Cha-min and Jae-rim have a happy ending. Cha-min proposes to Jae-rim, and she accepts.
The season has been a learning experience for both of them, making the show all the more wholesome. We see Jae-rim show Chae-min that love exists. On the other hand, Cha-min helps Jae-rim in overcoming her self-doubt and valuing herself.
Negatives
While Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale is an excellent romantic comedy, it did have one flaw. The ending seemed a little rushed, as we don’t know if Cha-min and Jae-rim marry and live happily ever after. This is especially true given that the show is essentially a fairytale story. The absence of this critical component appears to be a bit disappointing.
Our Verdict
Episodes 9 and 10 of “Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale” are the last two episodes of the season. They have the perfect blend of romance, emotional growth, and delightful storytelling. With a mix of humorous, touching, and magical moments, the show has kept its viewers interested. Cha-min and Jae-rim’s journey, which was filled with hurdles and learning about themselves, comes to a happy ending when they decide to be together despite all odds.
The show’s strength is that it is capable of combining silly rom-com elements with more serious ones about self-worth and growth. It’s especially moving to see how Jae-rim’s character went from questioning her worth and dreams to embracing them. Likewise, adding complexity to the story is Cha-min’s transformation from a troubled character to one who prioritizes love over wealth.
Unfortunately, the ending is a bit rushed, even though it is touching. There needed to be a clearer ending to the fairytale story so that viewers could understand what happens to Cha-min and Jae-rim. Even with this minor flaw, “Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale” has been a fun and emotional ride.
